By working closely with main contractors, we ensure mechanical installations are delivered accurately, coordinated efficiently, and aligned with the project design brief and term‑time programme constraints.
Imperial College - Skempton Building
FOX Mechanical took the consultant’s RIBA Stage 3 design and developed it through Stages 4 and 5, carrying the scheme from detailed design to installation and handover.
A new Daikin Mini VRV system was installed to provide efficient heating and cooling, together with modifications to the existing ventilation and a new overdoor heater at the entrance.
The scope also included new WC accommodation. With parts of the building remaining occupied by students throughout, works were carefully planned and phased to keep disruption to a minimum.

We were asked to design an efficient heating system for one of the seminar rooms of this iconic grade II listed Victorian building.
Existing low temperature hot water infrastructure was utilised to introduce a new underfloor heating circuit.
New secondary pumps, associated controls and multi-zone leak detection systems were also installed and commissioned.
